Urination Footing

January 27, 2005 -

This just came to mind this morning - Am I the only one this has ever happened to?

I'll be standing at the toilet, and because of the placement of a bathroom carpet, I'll have one foot on the tile floor and the other on the carpet. And then, while I'm going, the carpet will ever so slowly begin sliding, slowly leading me towards a split.

I'm no longer as flexible as I was when I was dancing 5 nights a week, so this gradually becomes a problem, and it's less than convenient to pick up a foot and shift weight mid-urination.

Anyway, I thought this might be one of those things that happens to a lot of people, but which nobody ever discusses.

Now You Know why there's wall-to-wall carpeting in my bathroom. Of course, my bathroom is pretty small, but the carpet is washable and not nailed down, so we can periodically take it to the coin laundry and stuff it into one of those big front-loader machines.
