Dear Mrs. Bitch Dog...

August 19, 2005 -

Comcast has got its PR work cut out for it after an annoyed customer service rep changed a customer's name to in the company's computer system. When 25 year old LaChania Govan from Elgin, Illinois got her August bill, she was not pleased. "I was like you got to be freaking kidding me," said Govan, 25. "I was so mad I couldn't even cuss." She called the press, and the story was picked up by The New York Times and The Chicago Tribune amongst others.

I often comment and complain about the sorry state of customer service these days. Too many examples to list. People need to stand up and rally against this kind of stuff and hit coporate america where it hurts their bottom line. But cable companies have monopolies in cities and towns, and her only recourse is to go with satellite. Fewer choices mean more complaints.

I suppose this means you can't get people to be civil, even if you pay them.

I hope Comcast did a bit more than leave an apology on the woman's answering machine.

This just demonstrates what I've been saying for years - People suck.
