It's odd. I never watch the news anymore. I never even pick up a newspaper. But I'm more in touch with the news and with world events than I ever have been before in my life. Between RSS, Podcasts, and the two or three blogs and messageboards I visit daily, I find myself hearing news a good 12 hours before I hear it on NPR. And then NPR fills in the pieces I missed.
