For this week's quiz, I thought I'd throw out a list of races and see if you can remember what each one is from. I intentionally left out all the Star Wars and Star Trek races, since I think people would find Twi'lek and Bajorin a bit too easy.

Every answer above was right. Only 3 that no one got.

Shadowen - from Terry Brooks's Shannara series.

Saiyan - From Dragonball Z. I wouldn't know about them if I hadn't worked at the TV station back in '97 airing the cartoon.

Xurian - The Last Starfighter. Yeah - really obscure.

I recognized Xur in Xurian from The Last Starfighter, but I thought a Xurian was a follower of Xur as opposed to a race and figured you were referencing something else. In fact, I'm still not convinced that Xurian is a race. If it is, poo-poo on the writer for being unoriginal and confusing.
