Game Gorge Week, Part 2

October 8, 2007 -

Linda, Lia, and Rita returned last night from Florida, and since I labeled one post "part 1", I figure that this is an obligatory follow-up.

I didn't quite complete all the games I'd planned. I never got un-stuck in God of War 2, and It'll probably be added to the list of games on which I've become terminally stuck. I finished Bioshock fairly quickly, and moved on to Team Fortress 2 and Baldurs Gate 2, which took up a good deal of my time. I also almost started Metal Gear Solid 3, but I was interrupted by a phone call when I was 10-12 minutes into the un-pausable intro cutscene. I'll probably wait until I can hook the PS2 to a bigger TV before I go back to it.

I did finish Zelda: Twilight Princess, and picked up Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS, which I'm really enjoying. I also played about an hour of Ocarina of Time on the Wii Virtual Console. The game really does look dated, but when I get some time on the Wii again, I'm going to give it a good shot.

I'll be playing a good lot of Phantom Hourglass over the coming weeks, and if I have time, I was really getting back into Baldurs Gate 2, although I have to say that I enjoyed the first one a lot more. But Half-Life 2 Episode 2 comes out in 2 days, and I've been looking forward to that one for a loong time.

While I'm not sure how much Play-Life is in it, I'm really interested in Portal and its 'Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device' (or portal gun). The game is also in the Orange Box and is due to be released on 10/10/07, at the same time as Half-Life 2.2.
