Frank just made my week when he sent me this link.

The 18 people out there who played Beyond Good & Evil are going to be happy: A sequel is coming, and we sincerely hope that this go-round of the awesome cartoony RPG gets the appreciate and dollars the first game was so sadly denied.

Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel told French magazine JeuxVideo the project has been underway for around a year now, with 10-12 staff working on pre-production duties.

Sadly, Ubisoft has yet to greenlight the project and push it fully into production, meaning the project could vanish like a beautiful mirage when you get too close.

Feel free to start a letter-writing campaign to Ubisoft, fans.

Believe me, I'm going to be contacting Ubisoft.

Oh, Greg, this is *terrific* news. I hope the project gets the final green light from Ubisoft, and I'll definitely be contacting them as well. BG@E is one of my very favorite gaming experiences, and even the thought of a sequel make me a happy gamer. :-)

We want to stay in the style of the original: a large variety of gameplay styles, emotional content, and well-developed characters. This time, we're looking at the future of the planet. Enticing, isn't it? In any case, we hope that the French editor will soon greenlight the project. Why not promote it at our UbiDays event?
