It would seem that there's some manner of issue with the code I've written to handle comments on this blog. I suppose this is what you get when you create something yourself and spend no time testing or maintaining it. I'll admit to having totally half-assed and hacked together the majority of the changes to this blog over the past few years. Anyway, apologies to Kris and Josh.
Holy cow - I just checked, and July 2nd (in a couple weeks) will mark a decade since my first blog post. And this blog is still running on the same crappy decade-old php base I wrote back then. I've added tons in the meantime, most recently the Turing test which is most likely our culprit, but the underpinnings remain. Groovy.
In any event, I apologize for any trouble you may have had with comments, and I suggest some manner of copy-pasting in the future if your comment is lengthy. I'll try to find time to diagnose the issue soon.
