Blogroll

February 10, 2006 -

Although it's a popular trend for blogs to include a blogroll in a sidebar, I've chosen not to do so on my blog. So I thought it fitting to post about the blogs that I visit regularly.

The Guru of Nothingness

Eric lives in Colorado Springs - I met him when looking for D&D players in the area. His blog is largely about politics, something about which I tend to avoid posting, so his blog is my surrogate fix.

CTodd.org

The blog of my friend Todd, whom I met swing dancing in Connecticut. Back in 2000, he was running a site called hiphoplindy.com, and I was running a site called swingmonkey.com. He got an offer on the domain name, and when he sold it he rolled hiphoplindy's functionality over onto swingmonkey, which was really the birth of swingmonkey.com as it stands today. He's living outside Boston now.

GirlAndGeek

The blog of a coworker and her husband. Really interesting design - they've got a two-column layout, and they each get one column. Interesting tidbits, with a focus on snowboarding.

Mochichick's Playground

The blog of my friend Marsha, who taught me the charleston way back in 1998. Marsha lived about three blocks away from me back then, in West Hartford. Since then, she's moved to Hawaii then to New Jersey, and now I'm in Colorado. And we've both gotten married. I'm currently following her progress in training her cat to use the toilet. If it works out for her, I might have to give it a try too.

Random Thoughts

Or as I call it, the slowblog. Michael is going for a record - I think he's posted four times over the past two years. Anyway, Michael is the guy I conned into taking over swingmonkey.com for me when I left Connecticut, and he's done a bang-up job with it. Will he post at all in 2006? Your guess is as good as mine.
