We don't get many tornadoes out here - the mountains do a fairly good job of blocking them.
But today, it looks like there's one in Elbert County - the same general area where we went to the Al Paca shearing last weekend. It's a good deal north and east of here, but some excitement nonetheless.

Hey, remember about 20 years ago when a tornado touched down over near Edgewood and tore off a couple roofs? That was pretty close to us--everyone from anywhere nearby walked down to check it out.

I meant the Edgewood in Bristol. The houses were in Sven's host parents' neighborhood.

Edgewood... isn't that near Rockwell Park? I remember Rockwell Park. Getting chased by a mob is something one tends not to forget.

Doug?!? How the hell are you? And here I was thinking that JTU was some random person who'd stumbled across my site and that Edgewood was some city here in Colorado I didn't know about.
Edgewood isn't anywhere near Rockwell Park - went to edgewood in 2nd grade. It is in fact near Sven's host parents house. That's the same street Skooters was on. Rockwell Park was on the other side of town, closer to Wolcott.

Hey, Greg. Just checking your site. You mentioned Skooters - I was just talking about that place with my husband the other day and remembering Nick and the rest of the crew. It seems so long ago!
