iTunes

April 2, 2007 -

Big news today in the world of digital music. Pursuant to Steve Jobs's february announcement, EMI has announced that starting in May, they'll be offering digital music downloads without DRM. You can get them on iTunes. The old encrypted files that will only play on iPods will still cost 99 cents, but you'll also be able to get a DRM-free mp3 file for $1.29. Huzzah!

Huzzah at least. I'm so glad to finally be able to buy something on iTunes. I can move it onto my mp3 player or PSP. I'll gladly support non-DRM music.
