Blogroll

November 16, 2007 -

No - no quiz this Friday. Sorry, but they're not easy to come up with. It's been a while since last I listed the blogs I visit regularly, so I figure it's time for a revisiting, as a few have changed.

  • Joystiq - Okay, let's do the big ones first. Joystiq is pretty big. Lots of breaking video game news, reviews, and the like. I could go to Kotaku, but I like Joystiq better.
  • Penny Arcade - Aside from being a hilarious game-related comic, Penny Arcade has news too. Worth a visit.
  • MTV's Multiplayer Blog - Another I just recently discovered. MTV actually has a decent gaming-related blog.
  • Disparate Elements - Brandon has just rechristened a new site and shut down Suburban Joe. He's been devoting all his writing time to good reviews of bad games on GameShark recently, so hopefully soon we'll see more sarcastic stories about his kids and tales of hot water taps that spew superheated plasma.
  • KJToo - More fun than a barrel! Kris Johnson's a guy who's into writing, podcasting, tabletop RPGs, science fiction, and a number of other things about which I enjoy reading. I still laugh when I think about the 7th Son promo he and a couple other guys did many moons ago.
  • Pink RayGun - Pink Raygun is a female-centric site full of reviews and other articles. It's very very well-written, and I've been thoroughly enjoying their recaps of each week's Heroes episode.
  • Ngewo's Dirty Little Mind - The blog of Josh Croyle, a Pennsylvanian whose writings I've come to appreciate. He goes on a bit too much sometimes about fantasy sports, but he makes up for it by posting provocative pictures of various actresses who appear in the TV shows he's reviewing.
  • Mochichick's Playground - This is the blog of Marsha, a friend of mine who used to be my neighbor when I lived in West Hartford. She used to do funny stuff like pronounce the FOG AREA signs "Foggahrea" when we were on long trips, and she taught me how to do the Charleston. She since moved to Hawaii, but now she's in New Jersey. I still pop by her site now and then to see what she's up to.
  • Brain of F - This is the blog of Frank Lanza, a coworker who's expecting a daughter in the coming months. He writes about comics, Heroes episodes, and... stuff.
  • SnowChel - The blog of Michelle, another coworker. She's really into skiing. Really.
  • Bethesda's Blog - Bethesda Softworks are the guys who developed Oblivion, and they're now working on Fallout 3. Their blog often has good stuff.
  • Beaming Beeman - A blog by Greg Beeman, one of the producer-directors who works on Heroes. There's often good behind-the-scenes stuff on his site. Of course, with the writers' strike, who knows what will happen?
  • Jonathan Coulton - Lastly, the blog of the great geek singer/songwriter Jonathan Coulton. I've given up on holding my breath until he comes to Colorado on tour, but that doesn't mean he won't come eventually.

You want sarcasm? I think I can do that. ;)

Thanks for the mad linkage.
