It's been at least a decade since I read The Legend of Nightfall, but I believe that this sequel is every bit as good as its predecessor.

While it's not a deep book, it's very entertaining, and from what I remember of The Legend of Nightfall, this story keeps very true to its roots. Reichert has crafted an interesting setting full of rare people with magical natal talents, and evil sorcerers with the ability to steal those innate gifts through torture. Nightfall is a legendary thief and assassin who in the first book has a change of heart when he makes his first real friends. This tale sees the continuing battle between the two sides of his nature as Nightfall tries to do what's right while keeping the vows he's made to those he cares about.
